Working on refs and trying to make different sized people LOOK different sized. I finally got Masara to look right. I love them. So much.

This is kinda what I mean... more info in alt text.

Two greyscale spheres very roughly shaded in varying ways.
The one on the left (sphere A) is split by a red line. Down the left side of Sphere A is a plain marker tool that has been blended with a round circle blender. On the right side of Sphere A is the plain round marker tool shading. The sides are labeled with red "Blended" and "Marker".
In the center between the spheres is a color swatch of the greys used to shade indicatig three light levels, the background color of the whole image as the main color, and four levels of shadow.

The sphere on the right, Sphere B, is split into 3 sections with dotted red lines. The left side is shaded with a basic texture brush (that looks like a rough paintbrush stroke), then blended with csp's "wet blender" which gives the appearance of having stippled paint with a watery brush, and then painted with a different texture brush to further texturize the shading.
The center of Sphere B is the first two steps of the left side, minus the retexturing. And the right side of Sphere B is just the original texture brush. The left is labeled "wet blender + paint", the center is labeled "wet blender" and the right is labeled "basic texture" all in red.

I don't know why I overcomplicated this by doing the spheres left to right but the sections right to left. Hopefully this helps.
Also "texture" doesn't seem like a real word anymore.
