It's been cold and foggy this morning, but it's a very rare thing indeed to see all four of them together like this. Must be colder than we thought or the sound of the new cat playing (aka destroying) stuff in the other end of the house is making them wonder what the hell is going on.

This little bundle of gorgeous arrived yesterday. She's got some adjusting to do because the terriers are being terriers, so we're taking it slowly. Meet Phryne A stray who was rescued with a litter of kittens, she's possibly a couple of years old. Very cuddly and purry, very discombobulated.

Another mildly chilly day so Laverne has her shaved (for the ultrasound recently) tummy as close to the fire as she can get it. The other two ladies after taking the back row and Mambo's having none of it.

Last few weeks with Laverne the 16 year old Aussie Terrier has been a "thing". Ulcerated eye which is still an issue / may need an ophthalmologist referral (to Castlemaine) but in checking that, blood tests came back with anaemia and screwy LFT's. Turns out most likely because of pancreatitis. 1/2

It's chilly here today, but the spot in front of the fire must be okay. On a positive note we got a good report on Laverne's eye yesterday, and will get the results on her blood tests on Tuesday

Well she made it to her 16th birthday, despite numerous attempts at making herself desperately ill. Deaf and nearly blind now, the wheels are wobbling but she's still here. Lovely Laverne, it's been a hell of a too few years with you so far.

Listening to a dire situation unfolding on Mt Arapiles. Awful thing for those people to experience - thinking of the person who is in real trouble there. Thoughts also with the local Jardwadjali and Djab Wurrung people.

He's very useful for seasonal information - when his tail feathers come into full display at the start of summer or when they drop out come Autumn and the end of breeding season. We've got a pair of them. She's quiet and timid. He's loud, pushy & never where he's supposed to be. They are gorgeous :)

This is why I get so shat off with the "rain" in Victoria lies. This dam hasn't been close to full for years. But what we've got is a rainfall deficiency. It's never a sodding drought until it happens in the south of the state.
