Found a box of old photos. This is my mother. The back of the photo says, “May 30, 1967. Swifty watching as Tiki goes after Alberta’s pizza.” I know @catsofyore.bsky.social will appreciate this!
If you’ve read HEADLIGHTS @ceejthemoment.bsky.social you can recall what scene this is that literally struck me dumb, standing in a daze in my yard until my wife asked if I was all right. “There’s just us,” I said.
Packing up books and found this. Been thinking how much LISEY’S STORY has in common with ROSE MADDER. Such a great connection thanks to @underratedskpod.bsky.social @kalvinellis.bsky.social
Going through my stock, and I’ve still got a few each of these three. Buy any book of mine in paperback, and I’ll send you a FREE BOOK.
No matter what happens with AI or how obsolete I become, I’m positive that on my deathbed (be it tomorrow or forty years from now), I will NOT wish that I had used AI to write anything. I’ve written a bunch of books, and each one, good or bad, is an expression of completely human creativity.
I’ve got four copies of HUDSON HOUSE. I will mail a copy to you anywhere in the continental US if you buy anyone of my books—paperback—and send a screenshot of the order to authordileo1@gmail.com. My books are on Amazon, Barnes, and @bookshop.org and @sobelobooks.bsky.social
I should be working on edits for THE LOST ONES @sobelobooks.bsky.social but cat.
An unopened DVD of THE SURE THING, a movie I’ve never seen AND it’s directed by Rob Reiner? It’s movie time.
Rereading certain parts of this book @carolinebicks.bsky.social because the analysis is so damn good.
Love my @fangoria.bsky.social subscription. Just one of the cool things in the latest issue… Connects well with this discussion: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/m...
Found among my parents’ belongings. When did they go to Kentucky? They kept this secret from me for fifty years!
The best way to survive a heat wave? Read a book that chills you to the core. I reread @paultremblay.bsky.social ‘s new book these last 3 days, and it is a masterpiece. A truly brilliant novel whose importance/prescience can not be overstated. It’s funny, clever, heartbreaking, and terrifying.
Damn these editors! Why are they always right???? @sobelobooks.bsky.social
Going through DVDs and BluRays, and trying to convince my wife we need to keep them all. Analog forever!
“Obviously, you’re not a golfer.” (This was my bowling ball from the 1990s. Once a horror guy, always a horror guy. Time to roll again?)
Sorry not sorry for so many @paultremblay.bsky.social posts, BUT I just started the audiobook of THE PALLBEARERS CLUB and it is such a joy to listen to. Might be THE way to experience this book.
