Irish, former Villa North Stand season ticket holder, haven't been since moving to Canada in 2009 (last game was a 2-0 home loss to Wigan). Mostly Villa-related chat and opinions. Will always give a follow back.
Just like was the case with Arsenal and Rogers, I feel like this is very much pay up or shut the door. I get that it's modern football, but I don't have to like it when we do it. If we won't pay the price it'll take, tell the player we're out. Don't give him reason to disrupt his club.

Not quite as bad in the black, but why have the official kit images got shoddy photoshops of the badge?
I’ve had a terrible season so far, but still somehow managing to hold a relatively respectable position in all my public leagues.
Some of the teams we're above in the coefficient is just absolutely whacky. We're only in our 3rd season back in Europe, and only been in the CL once.
Definitely some unconscious bias here to give City the title and see Spurs relegated, but here's my prediction for the final standings:

My brother is an Arsenal fan, and a terrible loser. This makes for entertaining times.
We've been there... but I am nevertheless enjoying this, and I don't even really mind Spurs that much to be honest. It's more that this will set them back a LONG time if they go down - long enough for us to get our act together full time.
FFS. This is taking the piss. The guy retired to the MLS 2 1/2 years ago. Why would you name a stand after a guy with absolutely zero tie to the club beyond taking a massive last paycheque to play like he's training for a few years.

Missed out on the Irish throwback Villa jersey yesterday due to it being sold out before I even knew it existed but I did randomly see a throwback St Pats (the Maple Leafs before they were the Maple Leafs) jersey on crazy cheap sale when out with the missus last night, so picked it up
re: This BBC article. Right, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't time wasting EXPLICITLY down to the officials not adding appropriate amounts of time for delayed restarts? Like, players CAN'T waste time if the refs are actually doing their jobs properly, it shouldn't be something that's possible.

It's rare I'll say anythning that could be taken as in any way shape or form defensive towards that pleb, but that was on SNL - the writers wrote the joke, he just said it. So in 2001, it would've been one of these (sounds a bit like a Fey gag of the time TBH, but obvz I don't know)
