I am once again trying to get back on my bullshit (another Stolas sketch) after like two months of not drawing. lol Trying to do sketches when I feel like I can't draw anything cuz it's lower pressure. My motivation is so shot, y'all. But I still wanna try and find a way to break out of this. 😭

East and West hallways of the mansion are done. There's still so much of Solomon House to design. This is easily the hardest section of the art for me to work on. I'm learning so much though and I'm really proud of myself. I just wanna lock in more. xD #bskyart #environmentart #webcomic

All this makes me think of is this post about a Deniz Camp interview where essentially the point was made that you shouldn't try to emulate the older stuff because nostalgia will only take you so far. Rob seems to be stuck on nostalgia. There IS awesome stuff being made today.

It's been 3 weeks since my last art post so have a WIP on another part of the mansion; the hallway where all the demon father's rooms are. I'm so satisfied with how it's coming out. Just need to make the walls look less empty. #wip #webcomic #houseofsolomon #environmentdesign

A wip of Stolas's bedroom, with inks included. Stolas's bedroom is very big, with tall, soaring ceilings and bookcases built into the walls so tall you'd need a ladder to reach the higher shelves. A big table sits in the middle of the room with a rug beneath. The left corner of the room close to the door lies an alchemy table with a mortar and pestle built into it. A small desk with a vanity mirror lies between the bookcases. A loft-like area with stairs leads to what is assumed to be the bed, filled with thick bedding and many pillows. The top left corner of the room curves with a dome-like ceiling and three, pillar-like windows that are also very tall. A giant, circular rug sits beneath this area.

To keep from going insane, I'm working on more environmental art for the webcomic. This is supposed to be Stolas's bedroom. Inks are currently underway. May add some more stuff later before I do the insane stuff; coloring, lighting, etc. #bskyart #houseofsolomon #environmentart #wip

It features a big table in the center with books laid about, a desk with a mirror vanity, two very tall bookcases built into the walls, an alchemy table in the corner with plants nearby and a loft-area for the bed that has stairs going to it. In the rounded corner of the room are beams and windows with what are meant to be dimmed stars floating in place with a circular rug underneath. The room is very big with a soaring ceiling.

Stolas, a character from my upcoming webcomic House of Solomon, uses magic to project a Happy 2026. His expression is resultant/grumpy, as if he looks like he'd rather be doing something else, and is maybe doing this out of obligation rather then genuine desire. I mean, he's never been one for parties and big gatherings. lol
