Ba'ar Orso

Just your friendly neighborhood grizzly bear that's living in the urban wilds.
My new driver's license arrived today. I tend to scare DMV personnel so it's fortunate that I was able to do the renewal online and have the new license mailed to me. :/
A lot has been said about Jimothy the Mutant Raccoon, both true and not so true. With this in mind, I saw him being interviewed by a local news crew. He says he's simply suffering from a shortened spine, is doing fine on his own without help and prefers to be left alone.
Here I am rocking my new Stevie Ray Vaughn t-shirt. My only regret is that I didn't pick it up in time to wear it to the Stevie Ray Vaughn concert Wet Willies hosted on Sunday.
Tonight's dinner-burgers on the grill followed by a dish of Ice Cream For Bears - the Dessert of Champions - bear champions!
It's been one year since I was fired by the Totally 80s nightclub. It hurt initially (still does a little) but I've done all right. I'm having fun, earn big tips and can do my job without the bosses breathing down my neck, nitpicking on my mistakes like my boss at T80s did.
My club Wet Wilies holds concerts every Sunday afternoon and this week they had legendary blues/rocker Stevie Ray Vaughn. He played a smoking one hour set with hits like Voodoo Chile and Look at Little Sister! It'll be a while before my ears recover from this one! ;D
I've been in a Matrix mood of late and imagined myself as Morpheus, offering Neo his life changing choice.
Went looking at sports cars today. My DeLorean is a great car and is near and dear to me but there are times when you just (to paraphrase from one of my favorite movies) "feel the need....THE NEED FOR SPEED". ;/
I was in a malt shop today when I came across this cigarette dispenser. Holy cow! I vaugely remembered seeing them as a cub in diners, bowling alleys and whatnot, but truth to tell I hadn't seen one "in the wild" (no pun intended) for many a year.
We anthros are goofy creatures and always love photo opportunites (as well as the ability to show off that goofiness).
I was in a clinic getting fitted for some shoes to take care of a wound on my hind foot recently when I came across an amputee fox learning to walk with his new metal leg rig.
Being an anthro does have its benefits. A travelling salesman came to my door this afternoon and took only look at me before turning tail and running!.;-D
I loved comics as a kid. My favorites were those featuring the plus sized superhero Captain Gusto and his adventures in fighting crime in his natal Metro City.
There's a small memorial in the back of the Wet Willies Classic Rock Club for those who have passed on like DJ Duckie and hostess Wiylder. Rest in power brothers and sisters!
Today Back to the 80s had a pool party. Naturally this 80s bear couldn't resist joining in.
I stayed with Tolstoy a good friend of mine several years back. After stuffing ourselves with pizza I couldn't resist poking Tol's drum tight tummy. "Is the bear full?" ;D (Fortunately Tol was a good sport about it and provided me with the following sketch of the event.)
My journeys to anthro conventions have brought me into contact with a lot of strange and rare creatures, such as the axolotl seen here.
This is how i feel when I first enter the lobby of a hotel hosting an anthro convention I'll be attending. No lie. *sigh*
Mordecai, owner of The Back to the 80s nightclub gifted me this flag yesterday. I love it and it serves as a potent "F.U." to my Bree Rayne, my old boss at Totally 80s.
What better thing to do than to spend July 4th partying at one's favorite night club Back To The 80s.
At our conventions we have games of all sorts to play including this one-arguably the biggest Connect Four game around.
Anthrocon, the largest gathering of Anthros in the world is happening this weekend. It's a great convention, I'm sure but at an attendance of over 17,000 I won't be there. I prefer the smaller, more intimate conventions instead..
Had to do some clothes shopping today. Fortunately Fashion Bear (your number one source in clothing for the smart ursine set) was able to deliver on that.
Tell me guys, is this a BEAR BOTTOM or a BARE BOTTOM? I don't know though-I could just be acting CHEEKY.;-D
It amuses me that an encounter with a human always goes the same way. (them): "You're a bear." (me): "Yes, what of it?" (them):" "And you can talk." (me): "Also yes." (them): "You're not going to maul me are you?" (me): "Of course not! I'm more teddy than grizzly!" *sheesh!*
Attended a carnival side show recently. There were several interesting acts, including this one-"The Wild Man Of Borneo". The thing was that he put on a good "wild man" act but when he though no one was looking he sat down and read his philosophy book.;-D
An artist named Yugo was offering pride themed portraits. Looks good and certianly at $20.00 US the price was right, as they say.
