I'm with you. Definitely a Sempervivum, and probably the basic S. tectorum. I've grown Sedum (makinoi) 'Limelight' and it looks like this:

This is Hibiscus syriacus. Commonly called Rose-of-Sharon or, in the old days, Althaea. Plenty of other cultivars ("varieties") including these; the single photo is 'Collie Mullens':

It also makes it down to Los Angeles County in California, where I've seen it. In California, it's called Round-leaf harebell or Alpine Harebell. The Biota of North America Program maps it as such (so I would think it even ventures into Mexico):

Your plant is probably Philodendron hastatum. A very young one. Common name: Silver Sword. Related to "heart-leaf philo," of course but this species will have long leaves, not heart-shaped. This, below, is "arrowhead." The stem end of the leaves has double triangles/lobes even at a young age.

This is my Jasminum officinale ‘Devon Cream’. It started opening just yesterday. First truly open flowers today. Corvallis, Oregon, central/south Willamette Valley. It's on a refurbished and moved arbor, now at the entry gate into my patio. The arbor with the sweet peas on the other side.
