Not quite “make me happy”, but I’m glad I got two watch these two crows so corvid things. I don’t know if the one crow was playing with bark or trying to eat something in it. At some point, it dropped this piece and then took another off the tree 🪶
Well. Since I’m doing this, I’ve got a chest tattoo as well. And if you you want controversy, it’s much larger than a life sized warbler. AND I hadn’t even seen or heard a blackburnian warbler before getting this tattoo!

A dude blocked me on a Facebook group for Godzilla figures because he got big mad about a photo I posted and then someone called him out on his bs. Like, good! But I hate that I’m bothered he blocked me. Ugh

Not every picture has to be perfect. The lighting sucked and it’s hard to keep my hand steady lately, but I wanted to at least try to get some shots of the Evening Grosbeaks before they leave for the season. 🪶

I haven’t been the Field Museum in 20 years, so I haven’t met Maximo, but for a brief time, they had one of these giraffatitans / brachiosaurus in the main hall and I was /awe/ struck. I didn’t care for them in my kid Dino phase, but adult Jay loves sauropods. Also, this took me all night.
