Inveigle, a word that dates from the 16th century, refers to the act of using clever talk, trickery, or flattery either to persuade somebody to do something or to obtain something, but etymologically the word is linked to eyesight—or the lack thereof. Inveigle came to English from the Anglo-French verb enveegler, meaning "to blind or hoodwink someone," from the adjective enveugle, meaning "blind." The whole picture is in shades of grey, the wall in the background uneven grey bricks.
Along the wall there is sort of a bench - stone seems like it - and sitting on it there is a hunched over figure with arms resting on his thighs/knees, hands hanging between his legs, dressed in in grey-dirty shirt and pants, his feet bare on the dirty stone floor. His head is so low that only his dirty and matted hair is visible.
