PAM for baking, spray more than you think you need, and pray. I do a lot of baking in Bundts (I’m in MN - it’s practically the law), and I’ve tried everything. PAM for baking has been the best to date, about 90% clean releases. Sometimes the baking gods are just not with you, however.

My cat Barney has a thing about swinging doors: he can open them, but only in one direction. He will go through the swinging door into the kitchen, then meow plaintively from the other side until someone opens it. Maybe it’s the orangeness.

Reminds me of my favorite photo of my grandfather, who was a great guy notwithstanding this depiction:

There is a can of Old Milwaukee beer balanced precariously on top of the cat's head. The cat does not look amused but is not trying to get away. The cat's name was either Sugar or Spice (they were littermates who looked a lot alike and I can't remember which this was).

I had a lovely chopped salad for lunch and was thinking to myself “I always eat healthier when when I work from home home“ - but then I remembered I had two pieces of strawberry rhubarb pie for breakfast so… (my husband ate some too, I didn’t eat all of what’s missing)

In 16 years, none of our cats ever escaped the screened porch. That changed today with this guy, who ripped the *metal* screen. Luckily the neighbor saw him & texted my husband. The vet tech was right - at his last appointment she said "He looks naughty." 😂 (We have reinforced the screen with wire.)

As Paul Hollywood would say, it’s a little “rough & ready.” Framboisier from the most recent episode of GBBO. Genoise sponge, pistachio crème mousseline, fresh raspberries. I didn’t attempt the sugar dome because I didn’t have the equipment & I piped roses because fondant tastes like 💩.

Here is my five week old kitten looking very concerned, but I’d be concerned too if I were at the emergency vet. (she has a UTI, hopefully the antibiotics will allow her to get well soon.)
