Not flying ones but this ant was one of many on a bupleurum flower in the Garden.

Kabir Kaul, nature writer,conservationist and the Garden’s Ambassador gave a very interesting talk to local groups and residents. He covered three topics - understanding what nature recovery means, policies to achieve it and involvement of communities particularly young people.

Elliot Newton, founder and director of Citizen Zoo, gave an entertaining and informative talk in the Garden. The theme was how people and wildlife can live along side each other. A timely reminder that humans are not separate from nature but are very much part of it.
The meadow is so dry but wild carrot is beginning flower.

A rather wet day for London Open Gardens but thank you all who visited our ‘ green gem’. Colin and Dominic serenaded us with their through the showers! We’re open tomorrow 11am to 4pm.
The recent rain has refreshed the meadow, ponds and water butts but please let it be dry at the weekend for London Open Gardens!
