It might've been stupidly rainy here but man do my plants love it. The Tuscany Jasmin is finally getting flowery too!

Never heard of binturongs until like 5 minutes ago but this gal is my familiar now

It's a binturong, from the same family as the civet. It looks like a crazy, bulky and fuzzy mix between a cat, a monkey and a wolverine. This one has dark grey fuzzy fur and is laying stomach first on a thick branch, with its legs balanced on both sides. Its little head is resting on the branch with its mouth half open. It looks completely zonked out in the best way possible.

The terror attack on Utøya on July 22, 2011 changed countless lives in Norway. 77 people were killed. For artist Helene Bøksle, it also marked an abrupt and painful shift in her career. Music she had recorded for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (2008) was used in the terrorist’s manifesto, and overnight she felt unable to perform it again.

For fifteen years, she waited for the moment when she could reclaim that music—and her voice. Now, she says, that moment has finally arrived.

Helene is known for her powerful, expressive vocals, yet she describes the aftermath of 2011 as if her voice had been “taken” from her—emotionally and physically.

Representation matters

I am a 41 year old woman and seeing models and artists like this one, and having the option in videogame character creation to have vitiligo, it totally changed how I felt about it. For most of my life I only heard very negative reactions, it's on my hands so it's very visible. Then suddenly it became beautiful and a positive thing and it's really impactful. People have actually complimented me on it which blew my mind. It seems like such a small change but has a tsunami-sized effect.
