I just received my preordered book in the mail!! Perfect timing, as I’m sick today and have time to read.
Borrowed this graphic novel randomly from the library. Had no idea what it was about. Beautiful art and a heavy subject, but overall very human and lovely.
Some crop-ins on the protest photos I took yesterday. I love to zoom in and see all the bits I missed while walking (my lower back was screaming), chanting (my throat, my throat!), and wondering if I had low blood sugar.

These are hate symbols. The fact that this was a change that was made (to not be classified as hate symbols) shows how far our nation and it’s leadership is from healthy or sane.
I love my Vogmasks. Now they are shutting down, with tariffs being a deciding factor.

Jhumpa Lahiri’s book The Clothing of Books is a really good book…about book covers and all things related. It’s too short and ironically has a really bad book jacket/cover. I wholeheartedly recommend it enough for people who love books.
Eugene, OR showed up again today to protest the current horror of a government. More young people this time. Overall smaller crowd, but that was expected. My signs, new and some older.
Angry from the horror of this day. Using that anger, I will show up tomorrow at our local July 4th protest. Join me in exercising free speech while we still can.

A must read. Only 123 pages. It is worth your time. We are in the beginning of a dictatorship. Better to know what is ahead and what it will take to resist and bring us back to ourselves. Be part of the solution. Together we can be strong and find courage.

First California poppy is about to bloom. Beauty in these horrible times. America was flawed, but now is pure greed and evil. Even without hope, keep fighting. How? Show up, speak up, until you can’t anymore.
#handsoff Eugene, Oregon downtown city hall. Excellent crowd, though hard to show in pictures. The area is convoluted, with a long bridge, a plaza under and behind the City Hall right next to the bridge.
