My small dog is incredibly fearless and incredibly clumsy. She got the zoomies and bolted from the backyard to the kitchen, slammed into the fridge, ricochet’d into the closet door, then found her footing again and jumped onto the couch, all with a huge smile on her face.

My daughter found an old wallet of mine that she’s been carrying around and I found this old business card inside of it. Wild that this was a real branch of Dreamworks at one point 😬 (They rebranded a bit later and I’m honestly not sure if they’re still around at all!)

I am dealing with a pinched nerve in my lower back (which it turns out hurts worse than labor did for me), so I sent my husband to CVS to buy a cane so I can get to the doctor today. He’s taking the assignment too far I fear

The limitations of working in black & white actually led to an interesting workflow that I may try again! I spent my time in person focusing on compositional studies and took reference photos. When home, I referenced only my sketches for the under drawing and looked at the photo ref for color.

My old man is 15 today. With his size and current health issues, it’s statistically unlikely that we’ll get to celebrate another one together, so I’m just going to give him all the hugs and cuddles I can today. ❤️

My friend hosted a Cats-the-Musical-themed costume party tonight. My husband: “Please be careful driving with the rain and don’t drink too much.”’ Me: “Trust me, I’ve never been more terrified of being pulled over.”

I brought this sweet, stubborn old pup home 14 years ago today. I don’t know that we’ll get to celebrate 15 years together, but I’m so thankful that we’ve made it this far.

I grew up thinking key lime pie had a ton of lime juice in it but it turns out there is only 1/2 cup so now I have a key lime pie and maybe 6 fewer limes!

We trimmed the flower off of a banana tree this morning to encourage the resources to go to the fruit instead. I also have a TON of ripe Mexican limes. Seems like I need to find a good curry recipe! Maybe some key lime pie also??

My daughter's daycare sends regular photo updates throughout the day, which I love, but occasionally they send me a photo of her passed TF out in a dark room and it's always so jarring I can't help but laugh!
