In Jnah, a strike on one reported target leveled two residential buildings in a working-class district of Lebanese families and Syrian and Sudanese migrant workers. Five people were killed alongside him, 52 wounded. No warning was issued. Israel has never acknowledged the strike.
A third strike killed Al-Manar's political programming director and his wife in their bedroom. The apartment burned; the floors above and below were almost intact. But the buildings across the street were sprayed with fragments on a Wednesday morning.
Two bombs pierced the roof in Ain Saadeh and detonated two floors down. The intended target reportedly survived. Pierre and Flavia Mouawad were killed, with their neighbor Roula Mattar. Israel's spokesman later said Mouawad "was definitely not a target."
To locate the room where 15-year-old Jad Kobeissi was killed, we matched photographs from an old real-estate listing — balcony railings, window placement, a chamfered corner — against the damaged facade. His bedroom sat on the seventh floor, one floor below the likely aim point.
NEW: Israel called its Beirut strikes "precise." @chrisosieck.bsky.social and I reconstructed five of them for @newlinesmag.bsky.social. One killed a man in his bedroom and spared his family. Another leveled two buildings to kill one man. Israel has not explained the difference f.mtr.cool/mivlcnrmvg
The IDF's 2026 "Forward Defense Zone" mapped against the 1985–2000 "Security Zone". In 1985 Israel recruited Christian and Druze communities to administer the occupied territory through SLA. In 2026 no administration is needed as the strategy is the zone's complete depopulation.
98% of documented white phosphorus attacks in south Lebanon — tracked at whitephosphorus.info — fall within the IDF-declared "Forward Defense Zone." The zone Israel now claims as a military buffer is the same territory it systematically struck with that munition.
The IDF-declared "Forward Defense Zone" covers approximately 70 Lebanese villages - more than the 55 villages reported by Israeli media. Among those known to still be inhabited: the Christian villages of Rmeish, Debl, and Ain Ebel, and the Sunni town of Shebaa.
Mapped the IDF's newly declared "Forward Defense Zone" in south Lebanon. Its maritime boundary fully absorbs Lebanon's Qana gas field, whose exploration rights were explicitly guaranteed under the 2022 US-brokered maritime border agreement. More maps in this thread 🧵
We then compared the model with satellite imagery from March 11. The observed smoke matches the direction and spread shown in the model, and indicates ongoing smoke from the Shahr-e Rey site more than 80 hours after the initial strikes.
This map shows how smoke moved across Tehran in the hours following the strikes, based on atmospheric modeling and wind conditions, overlaid on the city’s population density.
Mapped the evacuation orders issued by the Israeli army in south Lebanon over the past two days. The March 03 order marks a significant expansion beyond the immediate border towns and well beyond the Litani River. I counted 105 villages so far.
91% of documented white phosphorus strikes occurred before Israel's ground entry. 39% hit civilian areas and 16% agricultural land. Those figures contradict Israel’s version of its use and proximity to civilians. More findings in this video interview for @france24.com. Full article: f24.my/BffV
Over a two-week period, we found that 59 buildings were flattened following Israel’s evacuation warnings in Beirut, some with less than 30 minutes notice. Legal experts warn this could violate International Humanitarian Law and potentially constitute war crimes.
