athena. (op lore)— she was a runaway pre-transition within the island. but as she was in her mid teens, Odom, (the father of nola and hassan) was actually not as insufferable at the time & was willing to help out for anything she needed for her transition if she worked for him.

Endale Hassan; aged 25: gifted child, had everything handed to him & ppl had high expectations, was probably addicted to adderall at some point, until he decided to get help & tried to get out of the navy.

Endale Nola; aged 8: just went w/ dad’s orders as a child. Didn’t realize how horrible the marines were until hassan died & was forced to take her brother’s place almost immediately.
