Lab retreat last week - we had some really delicious food prepared by various different lab members. My contribution was Pasta alla Norma (yes, that’s Ricotta Salata). Many thanks to University of Bristol people (Jon, Berni, Harriet) for hosting!
And because @darklyadapted.bsky.social was demanding more food photos and because I didn’t take one of yesterday’s pork chops and salsa verde here’s the crackling.
Paccheri stuffed with aubergine, spinach and ricotta in tomato sauce with scamorza affumicato.

Canapés before Easter Sunday lunch a highlight! Whipped feta, pomegranate and pea shoot croustades. Followed by lamb stuffed with pistachios and apricots, roasted vegetables, halloumi, salads, hummous, flatbreads. Champagnes; Chateau Musar, 20 year old Madeira.

Sorry for anyone working in the US and relying on NIH funding. Hopefully there will be ways to work around having a director who is obviously not fit to do this job. Probably the same for many US Government institutions for the next four years.
Awful beyond words. Sure you can joke about Trump appointing Saruman or Palpatine, this is just as ludicrous but unfortunately not funny.
