Rounded out the weekend with a bunch of car washes. Given he's the star of the weekend, enjoy a freshly washed Legacy.
The Legacy got some fine new brakes and wheel studs today. There was a few trials and tribulations but there was also hammers.
Dailying the BRZ and I've recently dug out my own barn find to get my 92 Legacy back on the road
The Legacy is back! New oil pan in, because having oil available to your motor is important, I guess. I was able to add some motor mounts during the project, so it's got vibes now (like, it literally vibrates, it's great.)
After going MIA for a week, the box with the rest of the parts for the Legacy arrived! This will round out the tune up and brake overhaul the car needs. Then I'll just need to figure out why the hood doesn't close and put something resembling an exhaust on it and it'll be an actual car!
Me: "Fresh clean sheets, time for me to remake my bed!" Finn: "lol, no."
The Legacy got some new ignition parts this weekend, and only two of the four bolts had to be sacrificed for the job! We've got a grille zip tied to the car, it's driven a few miles on the road, and now it's time to clean the old Turbo door cards to go in.
"Hell Yeah." Whatcha looking at? "1992 Subaru Legacy on SSR wheels" "Hell yeah"
A great many years ago, I owned the coolest Turbo Subaru. A few years back I stripped it and scrapped the shell (how do the B-pillars rot out, of all things?!) Currently the plan is to either drop this old turbo block into the wagon and a few other cool old leftover pieces, or H6 swap the wagon.
The Gang Goes on a Road Trip! Went to recover a barn find I left for myself a few years ago. As is old Subaru tradition, dropped in a fresh battery and drove it right out of it's slumber. Commence Hot Shitbox Summer!
Whoa, carbon fiber in my engine bay! I'm so bougie! Also got my hub centric rings and new lug nuts installed today after the Weather Event™ Took the opportunity presented by needing a set of lug nuts for a different project to harmonize on the red accent theme on the BRZ.
Great success. Now for some weird issue troubleshooting where it just either stops outputting video or spontaneously locks up. Computers are fun and a great hobby, I promise.
Computer upgrade day! Pay no mind to my disregard for cable management
I propose a new economic system called Catpitalism. Where we groom our cats while on the clock.
The Facebook Special™ Dunlops are on the car, along with a fresh alignment with a touch of Steez. A little bit more meat looks good, now I gotta test the setup out!
Peak SnuggleCats™ I have lost use of my hand until he's done with the thumb pillow.
I forgot the important tool but by the power of "I'm routinely a cheapskate in this regard" I was confident it would still be worth it. (Definitely was)
The Cheetah does not concern himself with the price of new tires. Nor with the question of "will I be able to fit these in my car?"
