Happy Monday. ☺️ I've just started The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman. It's the only one I've not read and I want to read it before the new film comes out.
A most excellent time at Shuck Fest in Bungay today. Shucks & other beasts acquired, trail completed. A great time with like minded folk. Really pleased with my official Shuck, there are a few different variants. But you don't know what you've got until you open the box.
As is family tradition, a walk for Father's Day. Today's route meant we got to take in St Nicholas at Potter Heigham. Another stunner of a round tower church. Fantastic wall paintings inside and rood screen. Quite the little gem.
My mystery Nepenthes (it just came with the generic Nepenthes label) I repotted it a few weeks back, it is looking pretty happy! 😊
Morning Danny! Glad everything is good in your literal and metaphoric garden. 😃 Some cornflowers from mine.
We said goodbye to Mr J on Thursday. 19 years and he spent 17 of them with me. 💔 My heart is definitely broken, the house seems so strange without him. My bestest boy. 🖤🤍
I'm very quiet here, just been feeling quiet in general. Took my handsome senior boy for his check up Tuesday & sadly it is very soon going to be time to say goodbye. I'm utterly heartbroken 💔. This little man has been my constant, through highs & lows. Can't imagine life without him.
A cloudy Sunday in Norwich. Views from Ketts Heights. HMSO & what remains of Anglia Square in the second picture.
I'm still training consistently 4 times a week. Sat here typing this & my shoulder is giving me grief, but I'm starting some rehab sessions soon which would bring some relief whilst I wait for surgery. (My daughter has made me a charm for my phone case, which you can see in the pic)
Morning! My friend lent me Mrs England by Stacey Halls last week. I started it this weekend.
Aside from catching up on my comics I'm reading Feeding The Monster. Why horror has a hold on us. By Anna Bogutskaya.
Long time no post. I've been lurking, lots going on. I'm still training consistently though, 4 times a week. Really pushing myself now and we are ramping up in my PT sessions as well.
I'm reading Norwich. Archaeology of a Fine City. By Brian Ayers. First non fiction of the year!
North Repps to Cromer. Cromer back to North Repps. New beach treasure too. ❤️
It's been a hard week, had some awful news mid week which I'm still processing. We went for a wander around the cathedral this morning & found Budge keeping warm. I actually got to give him a fuss, which is a first. @peteralanross.bsky.social he says hello. 😻
Had a dust of my biggest bookcase today (long overdue) I don't keep too much in the way of things other than books on the shelves. But I do keep my beach finds there and this is one of my favourites. You know it's not been the best day when you resort to dusting. 🤦🏼♀️
I spent about 4 days decorating, sanding, priming and painting. But I am SO pleased with the results. We've got new carpet for the stairs in a few weeks and it will really look fantastic. I powered through this work whilst listening to A Haunting In The Arctic. By C.J. Cooke and various podcasts.
Morning cuddles with Velvet have resumed now that I'm not rolling out of bed early to decorate.
Thank you. 🥰🥰 Here's a better picture, Christmas sparkle. Me too, I got some good treatment for it and I've been meticulous about cleaning it and nearby plants. 😊
I've been a bit quiet of late, it's been an interesting few weeks. I'm still getting in the gym, reading as much as I can & obsessing about my plants. The Monstera has survived the red spider mite, lost a few leaves though.
I was going to clean but made the mistake of sitting down. Now I'm stuck lol.
