Finally wound. What a challenge this was. Lots of knots tying it all together. Roughly 90g of possibly lace weight yarn, but ill check it another time! What to make???
People at work keep saying that I'll be bored when I retire I beg to differ....
Recently I've started a Waste Not, Want Not journey, reusing and upcycling unwanted things, trying to reduce the amount I send to landfill I was inspired by someone who reclaims yarn from clothes to reuse, so last night I started ripping back an old child's size scarf. Its been a challenge 1/

##365positivedays 186 sun Remembered that I have free will and rules dont exist in every aspect of your life. Discovered the other day that I dont have enough yarn to finish a pr of socks, so I used free will and different yarn for the toes Tbc that I can wear them with different textures...
Sourdough Adventures continue Cinnamon sugar crackers, made with discard Easy peasy and tasty Spontaneous decision to make them (did you expect different) so not ideally baked and forgot to poke them with a fork. Good way to use up discard instead of throwing it away ✌️
I don't know who needs to know this but here's my knitting hack: Keep an appropriately sized crochet hook in with your project (same or smaller than the needle you're using) Pick up dropped stitches easier and also for picking up stitches from the edge, and Brucey Bonus for casting off too
Currently got about 4 different projects on the go, including a gift for a friend... so of course I had to cast on another sock. Shortie style this time.
Sourdough Adventures continue Cheesey sourdough scones. Did i follow a recipe? Kind of ... so this could be a disaster 🤣 Straight out of the oven. They are a bit soft, and a bit hot, not sure about the insides yet. Update later (if you're interested!)

Pikelets. Apparently Made with sourdough discard. Im not optimistic. I messed the recipe up because Americans will insist on calling soda bicarb baking soda, so yep I put baking powder in first then realised my mistake 🤦♀️ Think I'll stick to yeasted varieties But you never know 🤷♀️

Socks done Pity its like living in the depths of hell atm, and I cant wear them since even I'm going barefoot Having hot feet just about worse than the risk of standing on a texture I dont like 🤣

Apparently in the 16th century Knitting Guilds were exclusively for men and women were not allowed to turn heels or graft toes of socks because it was deemed "too complicated " for them Well, I turned this heel all on my own with no input from Himself so boo sucks 16thC men!

#365positivedays day 162 Not achieved alot yoday But I did for some sewing, so there's that (Pls dont look at the stitches, my gramma tried to teach me to hang sew and I never got the hang of it. Its messy but it doesn't have to be perfect cos its mine!)
