The #Vikings will hold 13 open practices during training camp, beginning on Aug. 1 and concluding with joint practices with the Ravens on Aug. 19-20. 
#Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores was named the winner of the George Halas Award, given by the Pro Football Writers of America to the player, coach or staff member who overcomes the most adversity to succeed.

The #Vikings are headed to Mexico City this fall, to play the 49ers in Week 11 on Sunday night. It will be their fifth international game in as many years, and Mexico will be the third different country they’ve visited during that time.
The #Vikings will induct Adrian Peterson into the team’s Ring of Honor this fall, a year before he’s eligible for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  Peterson, who won NFL MVP honors in 2012, is still the most recent non-quarterback to win the award.
Kevin O’Connell said Jauan Jennings will arrive in Minnesota on Sunday, with the expectation he’ll be on the field with the #Vikings on Monday. Said Jennings’ size adds a “unique aspect” to the WR room.
As the #Vikings begin what owners Mark and Zygi Wilf called a “wide-ranging” search for a permanent general manager, acting GM Rob Brzezinski has communicated to ownership his interest in being considered for the full-time job, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

J.J. McCarthy was a full participant in practice for the #Vikings on Thursday. He appears on track to playing Sunday against the Packers.
Congratulations to Justin Jefferson for winning the Korey Stringer Good Guy Award, as voted on by the Minnesota chapter of the PFWA. Jefferson is the third #Vikings player to win the award twice, joining Daunte Culpepper and Captain Munnerlyn.
J.J. McCarthy said he’s still day to day, and was limited today, but he felt good throwing. He didn’t have any extra padding on his hand at the end of practice.

The #Vikings held a walk-through again on Tuesday, so their injury report is an estimation, but Brian O’Neill went from DNP to limited. If O’Neill doesn’t play, it’s likely Blake Brandel at RT, but O’Neill would seem like he’ll have a chance.

Interesting point from #Vikings special teams coordinator Matt Daniels today, talking about Cowboys K Brandon Aubrey missing two FGs in a game for the first time this year. Daniels thinks Isaiah Rodgers’ speed off the edge affected Aubrey’s leg swing. Opponents have the 4th-lowest FG% against MIN
