Reminds me of something a painted a few years ago; a friend took the photo image (Portland, OR), "Waiting for the Night Train."
We assumed it would be like that .... WHICH IS WHY THINKING PEOPLE DIDN'T ATTEND OR WATCH IT.
Central Texas has been in severe drought for 6yrs, since we’ve lived here; haven’t seen this before. Known for wildflowers this year is spectacular. People stop and take photos. The folks who own the pecan orchard are enjoying a rescue season. First year they haven’t had to water.
Graphite, Bruges Hack. We all draw; some quick sketches, others the work itself instead of painting.

I used to have a really nice rose garden; relocated. So kind! Thank you for the appeal. Just for fun, this is from my neighbor's backyard; this was scene from her back door, the slope up the hill. I took a photo and painted it. It's big; 42" square gallery wrap. 🌹
He drank the kool aid in that famous photo of him cowering on the couch in the Oval Office when Trump attacked Zelenskyy. This one: it was all over multiple news outlets.
I'm sure! Been to Mesa Verde, Mexican Hat, Taos ... poor planning and never enough time. 😊 Painted this from one of those trips (sold).
This was a commission by a coworker/friend; this was where she grew up in OK. A "commission" doesn't have to be a grand scene. Her parents retired and moved to a smaller property, The metal post was the cornerstone where her dad divided the property with his kids. She used to climb that tree. #Art

Indeed. In honor of First Peoples I wanted to post this portrait, a Taos Pueblo man; I painted this gentleman for myself and is not for sale. Been to the Taos Pueblo several times. Over the decades I've witnessed how it changed; the doors painted differently, etc.
This is the Lone Cypress at Pebble Beach, CA. That lovely stretch along Hwy One is a dramatic overlook after another. It is the image for my account. Oil on canvas. Ever sell a painting, and still regret it years later?🙂This is one.
Taos Pueblo. Painted this years ago, sold it. The gentleman called me and asked if I wanted it back; he was in ill health and didn't want his kids to sell it in a garage sale. He's gone now. I so appreciate him doing so. I've been back to the Pueblo several times since that first visit.
One of my favorite portraits; my son-in-law took this reference photo. Went to China for a month in 2010. There were figures in the background I removed. I was struck by the dignity of this man. In the town square; he is smoking an opium pipe. He didn't care what you thought about him. Available.
Needed to calm my rage over politics and remind myself of what inspires me. I painted this some seasons ago in the fall, then returned in the spring when the pecan trees were leafed out to finish it. This is the upper Guadalupe River, the same river that flooded over the 4th of July weekend.
