I missed last month’s Barnes and Noble Criterion sale, but I grabbed these from their new Arrow sale. Watched both of these a lot on VHS back in the day.
Good mail day. It’s the whole bloody affair. No plans to watch this anytime soon again. Also got the Mojave 3 first four album reissues, but you’ll have to take my word on that.

Oldest shirt I’ve owned continuously is this PJ Harvey shirt from her To Bring You My Love tour in 1995. I bought it at a record store in Simi Valley in the late 90s and wore it to high school often. It fits again now, so I’ve been wearing it again.
Where’d I get it: Thrifted Why’d I get it: It’s Vince Edwards, star of MURDER BY CONTRACT and discogs said it was funk. On Spotify: No How many plays: 1 Verdict: 4/10. The type of traditional 60s pop that I almost never respond to (unless it’s perverse like Scott Walker). Keep or sell: Sell
Where’d I get it: Record Outlet for $2 years ago Why’d I get it: 70s funk for $2. On Spotify: Yes How many plays: 2 Verdict: Light 7/10. “Rock Creek Park” is the first track and by far the highlight. Definitely can see why it was sampled so often. Rest is just okay. Keep or sell: Sell.

My co-worker’s father worked on HEAVEN’S GATE and she sent me a picture of her dad’s cast and crew shirt from that production.

Good mail day. Hey, it’s a book edition. The story of one of my favorite bands, New Zealand’s The Clean, as told by band members and people from the scene. I can’t wait to dig into this and listen through their records again at the same time. So many essential Flying Nun books in the last few years.
Glad I got a laserdisc player so I could enjoy the wide array of music films that have been mostly lost to time.

Good mail day. Grabbed the new Arrow edition of THE KILLER. I’ve been picking up fun vintage shirts lately and I got a good deal on this promo shirt for Stuart Gordon’s THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM. Also, I got this SuperSonics sweatshirt and I’m going to wear it a lot.
Good mail day. Got a Miike boxset from Radiance (I love that we’re finally getting a lot of his older work on Blu/UHD), DEAD MOUNTAINEER’S HOTEL from Deaf Crocodile and The Delgados shirt from early 2000s.

Good news, I got selected to be able to buy Paul McCartney tickets at the Fonda. Bad news, tickets are VIP and $1661 each. (Not going)
