These are painted metal pieces that came in a set & exactly represented each of the three cats we had. They’re somewhat weathered as they’ve been outdoors as well as in. It was a really lucky find that I came across sometime after they’d all passed away.It was just one more way to honor their lives.

I watched the movie Simulant (2023) and was most impressed by the dog. Called Trotsky in the film, he got a spot in the closing credits as El Perro. Turns out that is his actual name and he is the director’s (April Mullen) dog. Now I have to watch his other film, Wander (2020).

I have a small garden only & according to the periodic water use charts our homeowners asscn sends out, my group of homes is doing a good job conserving, too. I mostly am happy that I have enough of a garden that the birds can enjoy the birdbath & feel safe.

Some happy flowers for a Wednesday afternoon. Feverfew, dahlias, Orange Honey miniature roses, and nasturtiums. (And if anybody remembers Elizabeth Arden’s Blue Grass scent, the vase is from decades ago and once held Blue Grass bath salts.)
