a slime named Besu just joined my party and now I will stop at nothing to protect him
my entry for 'Happy Hunting!: A Monster Hunter Zine' @monsterhunterzine.bsky.social had a blast working on this, and checking out all the other talented artists involved The zine turned out amazingly!
Flames of Fate is just so much of a better subtitle than Beyond Dreams too like come on lol Part of me wonders based on the name if maybe it was hitting too many of the same beats as FF16 and they decided to rework it? I'm still convinced the new Hero design is carried over from that initial concept
Big standout for me is the varied attack animations in battle it's a small touch, but it makes it feel a lot more charming look at those slimes throwing themselves at the camera! The enemy models and environments have a lot of personality compared to other games imo
Now I've got the bug and booted up the PS2 remake of DQV I've never played 5, but I always hear it's one of the better entries This version interestingly feels alot like 7R as far as a remake, and the orchestrated soundtrack rocks I also looove the visuals, look at those battle screen backgrounds!
finally wrapped DQ7R Been playing it since launch, but took my sweet time cause I just liked having it to pick at when I was in the mood Still chipping at the post game bosses and looking for the final mini medal, but yeah fun stuff Teared up at Toriyama's name in the credits, 12 is gonna kill me
GOD DAMMIT I noticed a tiny fuckup in the mario drawing lol I want you to know I fixed the missing white of the Chomp eye on my phone cause it will bother me to no end
Probably the last two brand new Switch 1 releases ever for me Love that we ended with these more niche, very Nintendo-ass titles Switch 2 kinda feels like we are still trucking along because it's so familiar, but my physical collection will definitely be smaller thanks to GKC
in the span of like 15 minutes on your Switch, you can now take down 33 years of (almost all) attack carrier bosses
I got the SNES mini when it released, but I never actually played this for some reason it's pretty fun I used to find the OG Star Fox impenetrable, so it's fun to notice the improvements that make this a 2017 game despite looking its theoretical age
Anyway, here's my best run and my first attempt at Expert Gonna casually pick away at the challenges and rest of the medals cause my wrist hurts now lol
