Three weeks in and Izzy is a daily burst of love & good vibes in a world gone terribly wrong. Pets make everything better 💕
Good morning from the Berkshires! Nothing quite like waking up to a blanket of fresh snow, the quiet beauty of it is so hopeful, all those harsh voices of hate disappearing into distant memories.
One of the final holdouts on the fall leaf drop. Love this one 🧡💛
My pop, he earned that Purple Heart on Normandy Beach, D-Day + 4. Spent a few days among the fallen, ‘bodies stacked like cordwood’ he told me, one of the few times he talked about his time in the war. I’m grateful he made it back to marry my mom and create me. All gave some… Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸🕊️
Love spring, hard not to feel hopeful, everything in my backyard just bursting with life. Nature declaring itself open for business!
When the question of the day ‘who gets top dog bragging rights’ is settled. Cooper snags the high ground, Coco concedes - no fights, facts rule, which is clearly how disputes should be handled in a civilized world.
Early spring flowers are so brave, making a stand. They’re so beautifully hopeful. No clue that we’re supposed to get snow by midnight. Me, I’m 🙏 they’re right, that the risk was worth it.🤞
How we’re spending president’s day in the frozen north. Snow covered by an inch of ice, which complicates traction for the pups. They do not like skating on their brief runs outside, so they’re pouting, in between naps.
Fresh snow overnight, looks lovely, is lovely, but will soon be covered with an inch of sleet. And just when I was thinking rump & crew were the only dangerously slippery things in my life. At least there are proven ways to deal with icy snow, rump? Not so much 🥶
When the pups do something so adorable you fall in love all over again. We are two more days of cone-head for Cooper, who’s been a real trooper.
My sweet Cooper not even fussing about his cone. Surgery yesterday to remove mast cell tumor, now we heal & wait & hope for a good pathology report.
New snow this morning, clean slate, I’m riding that feeling today despite whatever is happening in DC with the dumpster.
Cooper, the other’s on the run at the moment, chasing some unknown terror☺️
Coco was sad to learn today is Cat-erday, a time to celebrate. But worse, she discovered dog days are random and they don’t even feature party hats.
Here’s to those who embrace the struggle. We will make it through the madness of megalomania.
Such a princess! Mine are both chi mixes, Coco (l) is 8, Cooper 7, love em to bits.
Cooper & Coco snoozing through a binge of The Diplomat, how is that possible?
Ever feel like your entire house has been turned a series of glorified dog beds? They are stealthy creatures.
Coco’s strategy for dealing with the orange grifter: ‘Wake me up when he’s gone.’
Today I shovel snow, a much more appealing prospect than the MAGA shit I usually feel compelled to remove.
