S&M! 40, She/her&she/her, weird techie kinkster, self-authorship appreciator, dognitohazard. 18+ only!
Kraken you have caused a thing to happen here. I am still in teeny bitty baby mode but I was a HUGE Dreadnought fan back when it was alive, and this is giving me vibes of that general variety. :9 Really enjoying timing out the torpedo strikes or using them for area denial! This is great.
For folks having issues with the docket number not searching up properly: My dark-mode-ass computer looks weird and fucked up, but if you just throw 19-41 in there exactly as I did, you ought to see an option for comment on oversight. Also, 'COMMENT' is the first option under Type of Filing.
CW: blood, suffering That said: I -am- support-tank, so someday I'm going to get -hurt-. Well-Met has Mending, but no kind of healing; just between the two of us, I can only heal the hard way. o/` - Marina - I Am Not A Robot (with thanks to folks contributing to Hale's playlist <3)
Also, since I was talking to @brushwolf.bsky.social earlier and I respect the Hell out of his D&D drawing chops (his RPG art bangs, it looks just like the classic Monster Manual stuff and I dig it SO hard): We had a fight. With a Big Chicken. I want to include everyone but it's so hard!!
Also, while I rarely post progress sketches and things, we're in the Age of AI and everything sucks so: this is the only reference I used in making Sprinkle! Somehow I slapped this sketch together and her face is -so perfect- I was like, oh, oh! that's exactly what it should be! I gotta work it! <3
Also, one of my party members, played by my partner: Sprinkle! A 'tabaxi' Lore-school bard torn between 'standing straight so people don't know I'm a gnoll' and 'crouching a little so people don't know I'm seven feet tall'. Super adorable, great music, and the occasional Cutting Words.
I am once again playing D&D. This time it's Curse of Strahd-adjacent. Meet Millibrande Halestrom and Well-Met! Hale was a high-level wizard who was 'killed' and discarded by Strahd, now rebuilt as a Battle Smith; Well-Met, once a mobility aid, is now a combat-capable companion.
I was the most powerful single party member by a mile by damage, hit points, etc., but impossible to miss. -Devoured- healing, not to mention food. Relied on my party members to negotiate for my upkeep and clear the way, couldn't enter cities, had to steal livestock, make my own equipment... neat.
I'm a little late, but of the many cookies we made this evening, this is the one that made Cay point and go 'oh! this one! your friend Hex!!', so obvs I gotta @hexlatex.bsky.social .
We had one of these 'wee' beasties, and it was the only way we could print, like, 15,000 waitress pads, three on a sheet, ten reams of paper, and every time we misprinted one we had to manually reset the pressure-actuated sequential numbering machine. Ours had a motor but you still had to start it.
I happen to have a -thing- about that. ^_^ (This is something I did for a performance; white fur, black skin, so it's usually black and I have a ceramic-and-gold or calacatta marble prosthetic to use depending on whether I went to the effort to gild the keloid or not <3)
What games did I play that I doubt other people are gonna remember? Okay: Think Quick! on the good old IBM PS/2.
Meet Liv. <3 Her partner, Cherry, is another PC (and my partner IRL) whose contribution to Most Things was being the catalyst for her tagging along on this trip; Cherry's a crazy little lawyer who took down a major corporation, and also a sort of feral bard. Alt text has more about Liv.
This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the kind of magic I would do if I -had- to do magic.
I've been playing this on and off all day and I'm so happy about it. <3 Look at this nonsense:
God -damn-. My single heavy 'mech in Phantom Brigade has the following build: Super-hot-firing long range missile launcher Heavy shield Awful heat dissipation A capacitor bank that eats heat and shits lightning c'mere gimme a lil' kith >> BONK >> ZOT
The disclosure says nothing of the kind. Devs say the -opposite- of that, and then describe the reasoning behind the disclosure. These disclosures (and generative AI, which caused the need for them) are quite recent, but ML, procgen, and AI as a concept are old tech used all over, before GenAI.
My mole-person lighting is fuckawful BUT: I have been gifted a copy of WARHOUND for my birthday and felt I ought to participate. <3 With thanks to @caylmao.bsky.social for the bite marks, and @kallidorarho.bsky.social for the bangin' wordsmithing. :9
With thanks to Tom Morgan (now with alt text because I am sometimes a very silly dog).
Well I was going to go and lambast the UPenn bluesky but I guess whoever is running it (for today) is fantastic and I'd prefer not to yell at them while they're probably in the process of getting fired.
This is a nice example of what I mean. You twist the cuff around the gate so that the little catch you see there admits the striking surface of the carabiner through it; it's easy to use but hard to fuck up and drop something. Also, this one is 28kN, which is 'pull the house down' strong.
This fuckin' came OUT. MM. This is a very dog thing to post but I wish I could link to a smell.
