Slightly better, but not by much:

I see Folk Fest has put up PurpleAir monitoring stations on the island for the festival. A good step in educating people on the value of up to date air quality readings. Not the "I think it looks smoky out" strategy.

It's "OOHAY" season again in Calgary.

The ever changing back alleys of Sunnyside.

Hey, look at my Strava ride name the other day...
The biggest benefit of winter biking? They all go away to their basements to ride virtually.

Light flooding on the Bow pathway around the zoo this morning, on the west side of the Moose enclosure. About 5" deep. Centre street bridge also has a pool of water under it, maybe 2" deep. Baines bridge underpass closed. #yycbike

Bonus Kilgore Trout pic at Pages. Sleepy kitteh.

Sunnyside Art Car new art alert! 🚨🎨

Renders are out for the new Fairmont Hotel on 11th avenue (RIP Singapore Sam's):

Tell me you live in Calgary with a screenshot.

How is the closed section of the Bow North pathway cleared but not the open section to the east? 🫠 #yycbike

Spotted a big Golden Eagle on the Bow River yesterday at Prince’s island. Enjoy the video commentary. 😅

Dispatch from the “war on car”. Bike forces struck overnight and ensured main roads were cleared with minimal snowfall accumulation while keeping pathways covered in 3cm of the white stuff. Master stratergy. #yycbike

New Bow River pathway flooding section. Pathway underpass at the Baines bridge (north side along Memorial). 311 submitted to get the pathway barriers in place. #yycbike

Heads up #yycbike, the pathway around the zoo has flooded due to the river ice jamming. St. George’s drive pathways would be the detour to use.

Purging at the in-laws. Stampede 1925 booklet.

This is what was fought against on 3rd Ave and 1st Street to keep a parking lot.

In an alternate timeline...

Holy moly. 😮

Apropos of nothing, a pic of me after my 12km bike commute at -24 Celsius in Calgary in December of 2022. Last year I hit -34 for my coldest commute ever.

A little bit of Aurora still visible early this morning on the #yycbike commute in.

I thought I'd try the new 32nd Avenue NE pathway this morning. Unfortunately, it's not being cleared yet, and with its open exposure to the north still had some drifts covering it. Nice pathway though, and a good investment in the NE active mobility infrastructure desert. #yycbike

Golden hour light putting the Sunny in Sunnyside. 🌅

Playing some Christmas dominos…kids seem to like this one. 😅
