E-trikes are changing lives for aging rural communities. I just ran into these 3 in The Dalles, Oregon, who were so excited to share their adventures together.
Favorite hiker/biker campground: Cape Lookout in Tillamook. Bike camping on the coast is always resetting with lots of exercise, scenery, ocean air and sounds that make us 💤 like babies.
Dock Grade Road has an uphill bike lane that Google does not recognize yet...I submitted the change request. It's quite lovely with those Hood 🏔️ views!
Highway 14 could use some love with a separate path to connect Bingen to Dock Grade Road and the future, bikeable Hood River Bridge. I think this library will raise advocacy efforts for the infrastructure. @wsdot.wa.gov

Our Grilled by Bike set-up was using the Tern's rear railing as a table to harness our propane camp stove. We made grilled potato salad, chicken and steak skewers and red slaw.

High schoolers are often left out of safe routes to school programming, like it's a forgone conclusion that when they turn 16, it's cars. Maybe that is true, but if they are given the chance to ride a bike in high school: 1. joy rediscovered 2. E-bikes as transportation 3. streets not scary...
