Finishing “Yesteryear” by Caro Claire Burke. I was extremely skeptical about how she would land the ending giving the premise, but this is one of the few stories that the ending is more satisfactory than I thought possible. Bravo.

I teach HS students new to America in a immigrant newcomers program. Nothing says "Welcome to America" like having them draw hand turkeys in history class the day before T-Day break. They may be 14-17 years old, but they loved it. #TeacherSky
