#TonightsNovie "Django" (1966) Seminal Spaghetti Western. Banned until the 90s in the UK, but seen through the lens of the 60s , there is a lot of, albeit cartoon, violence. Franco Nero was only 24 during filming!

#TonightsMovie "Backrooms" (2026) Wonderful evocation of the meme/series. Excellent direction from the 20 year old creator! Unsettling and compelling. Looking forward to the extended version.

As a confirmed skeptic I'm really enjoying this. Cary Elwes has a soothing intelligent way of reading. Of course I'd rather have #CarlSagan and his unique mellifluous tones.

#TonightsMovie "The Cat and the Canary" (1939) Wonderful haunted house comedy, elevated by Bob Hopes comedy chops. Surely in the minds of Hanna Barbara 30 years later?

Sam Neill's autobiography is a great listen, seemed like a great bloke. I was so pleased when I heard he was cancer free earlier this year. What shocking news.

#TonightsMovie "I Walked With A Zombie" (1943) Hugely enjoyable classic gothic horror, wonderfully studio bound, I always enjoy an appearance by Tom Conway.

#TonightsMovie "The Woman In Black" (1989) Lovely slice of gothic dread, adapted by Nigel Kneale. What an ending!

#TonightsMovie "The Funhouse" (1981) Solid 80s horror from Tobe Hooper, but strangely bloodless!

#TonightsMovie "The New York Ripper" (1982) Sleazy #Giallo / #Slasher mash up. A somewhat muddled story, but nevertheless entertaining. How stalwart Brit character actor Jack Hedley was cast as a hard boiled NYC Police Lieutenant still intrigues me.

#TonightsMovie "Deathdream" (1974) (AKA "Dead Of Night") Poster is very misleading, wonderfully effective bleak Vietnam era horror, a metaphor for PTSD ?

#TonightsMovie "The Nude Vampire" (1970) At points beyond ludicrous , with some atrocious acting and pacing, but like a traffic accident I felt compelled to look.

#TonightsMovie "Masters of the Universe" (2026) Actually a lot of fun. I have my criticisms but overall better than expected. Shame a sequel is unlikely, as I'd like that post credit sequence (or rather one of them) to get it's own storyline.
