Avid Twitcher when time allows, but it feels as though Moths are taking over my life.
A huge buff coloured female Poplar Hawk-moth in the trap. 1st time I've seen this colour form. ##TeamMoth
This was one i caught in May Alan. A bit fresher than yours. But not a lot different.
Think they are both Oak Julie. Spiny will show a white dash on apex, your moths don't show that.
This Brown Hawker made me jump when my fingers touched it underneath the egg tray from the trap this morning.
This Yponomeuta irrorella was new for me in last night's trap. Not many Berkshire records. ##TeamMoth
If these two are what I believe them to be,would be a good record for Berkshire. Gelechia muscosella. #TeamMoth.
This Sitochroa verticalis was a nice addition to the garden list last night. #TeamMoth
Never seen a Single-dotted Wave this dark . Took me a while to work it out. ##TeamMoth
Just found this under the parasol, if I'm not mistaken it looks very much like a worn Rosy Marbled. A new moth for me. ##TeamMoth
82 of 35 last night, 8 nfy with these four being the best of them. ##TeamMoth.
Lunar Hornet to garden lure, then landed on underside of parasol. Nfy. ##TeamMoth
Despite the rain all night, and with trap under the garden parasol,I managed 41 of 17, with 5nfy including these 2 new for garden. Small Mottled Willow and Great Oak Beauty. Garden year list now on 206. #TeamMoth
The last thing I was expecting to find in the Actinic trap this morning was this Mother Shipton. Never heard of one coming to light before. #TeamMoth
My 1st Cloaked Carpet, and 2nd Jersey Mocha for the garden. Garden year list rises to 135. #TeamMoth.
Put it in a pot and look at abdomen to be sure Alison. Treble-bar is pointed,Lesser is more rounded.
Things are picking up. 20 nfy in the last couple of nights. Alder Kitten,Campion and Pale Oak Beauty were the best of. Garden year list up to 112. #TeamMoth
Hi Thomas. I had this accepted as Pammene albuginana on photo alone. A day later I had it redertimed as Pammene, and told it needed Gen Det. Luckily I still had it in freezer. Have sent it off to be examined. Will post the outcome.
This Banded Demoiselle landed next to me while sitting in garden having a cuppa. Be rude not to take a picture of this beauty.
19 of 7 last night, but always nice to get a Chocolate Tip and Eyed Hawk-moth. #TeamMoth
Just found this Alder Moth hiding near the trap,so 4 of 4. Another nfy.Garden year list now on 78. #TeamMoth
3 of 3 last night, but this Dark Sword-grass was nfy. Garden year list now on 77. That’s 38 down on the same date last year #TeamMoth
16 of 11 last night. This Spectacle was nfy, even had his glasses on. #TeamMoth
23 of 13 last night. White-spotted Pug and Seraphim were nfy. ##TeamMoth.
