79. Spider-Man: Brand New Day Most of my MCU memory is a litle hazy but I think I would call this one of my top 3 favourites within it. One of the few post-Endgame projects that I've felt justified the franchise continuing. 9/10

78. Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons Very solid film with a likeable lead and lots of funny bits. The Asura's Wrath scene was peak. Unfortunately it's sort of neutered by the awful romantic interest who did not endear me at all and just kept digging a deeper hole. 7/10

77. The Odyssey (2026) Saw it yesterday in IMAX, a truly stunning experience. Big fan of the Matt Damon and Zendaya cover of Warrior Of The Mind! 9/10

76. Metroid: Zero Mission Finally played a Metroid game so I have escaped that Scott the Woz clip. What a stellar first impression to the series. That Zero Suit segment they added in from the original was so tense, and it felt incredible to get the fully upgraded suit as a reward. 9/10

75. Minions & Monsters Was gonna see The Odyssey, but my group wasn't all available so I pushed it back a week and saw this instead for the time being. Kinda fun actually! Not amazing, but it's the most an Illumination film has felt like it had a vision behind it in ages. 6/10

74. Rayman 2: The Great Escape Great introduction to the 3D side of this series considering my only prior experience was Legends. Would've liked a lot more of the flying levels and less of the rocket horses though. Camera also wasn't great but I could live with it. Tons of fun otherwise! 8/10

73. Demolition Man Again, forgot to log this yesterday, oops. Mostly a really good time. Surprisingly funny and a very interesting world. Would've probably loved it wholeheartedly if it capitalised more on the emotional hooks it set up and did very little with. 7/10

72. The Invite It opens with at least four Seth Rogen laughs, and at a later point he looks like he's doing the 6 7 motion while talking about double penetration. Those two things alone should sell you on this! 8/10

71. Disclosure Day Saw this yesterday too, I really need to remember that this thread is a thing. Had a good time with this. Nothing that blew me away, but I was engaged with the chases and whether they'd make the world aware of the aliens. Could've done with more competent villains though. 7/10

70. Toy Story 5 Watched this on holiday a week ago and forgot to update the thread, oops. Had a shockingly great time with this, I laughed a lot and could appreciate the more nuanced "everything in moderation" message. They put Buzz in a kilt to spite me specifically. 9/10

If you pay close attention to Sentry vs Superboy Prime, you’ll notice that they subtly tease some dialogue from the totally real upcoming Mordecai and Rigby vs Finn and Jake

69. Moana 2 Hell yeah dude I love seeing my favourite Disney characters go through the most by the numbers sequel ever, reminding me of the first film at every opportunity! The Kakamora guy was fun though, I liked him. 3/10

68. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (2025) Story isn’t all that but at least the animatronic work is still great. I found a lot of their attempts to be scary more funny than anything else. 4/10

67. Meccha Chameleon I love a good hide and seek game and had fun with this, but drawing usually isn't as much my cup of tea and I don't really enjoy seeking in this. Maybe if my computer could run it better I'd feel differently. 6/10 but take that with a grain of salt.

66. Donkey Kong Country Solid game, apparently 2 is even better so I’m looking forward to checking that out once I’ve tackled some other games on NSO. Surprisingly I found the water levels decently fun, the animal companion in those levels was my favourite. 7/10

65. Among Us (2026 show) Has its moments but mostly did not hit me with its characters or humour. Watched this with friends and we only stuck through it because of how short it was. 3/10

64. The Amazing Digital Circus Feels weird that it’s over now. Been enjoying this series for the last nearly 3 years but I’m gonna have to let that finale simmer before I can decide how I feel about it, and the show as a complete package.

63. Slender Man (2018) Had a wonderful time watching a film with a close friend of mine! 1/10. Filled me with existential dread that one day I may wake up to find I've been turned into a tree.

62. Space Jam: A New Legacy: The Game Didn't know this existed until recently. Would maybe be more fun if I played it in multiplayer. Has some nice ideas but they got in the way of the base combat and some enemies were annoying. If I want an arcade beat em up, I'll play Shredder's Revenge. 5/10

61. Super Mario Bros. (1985) Surprisingly my first time ever playing this to the end without any modifications. A fun experience and obviously revolutionary for its time. Controls are a little more slippery than I expected but I generally enjoyed most of it, outside of the pick-a-path stuff. 7/10

60. Ethel & Ernest Very fun and emotionally devastating. More than worth your time to check out. Those last 10 minutes really got me. 10/10

59. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream The hold this game has on me right now is insane. It's even able to pull me away from the Pikmin game I'm replaying for a video. Has some features I miss from the 3DS game, but is overall able to do much more when not restricted to a handheld console. 10/10

58. Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass My video ranking every Tom and Jerry movie is too far along for this to be included. I don't feel bad about that because this is somehow the worst one. If you want an animated film that incorporates Chinese mythology, watch Ne Zha instead. 2/10

57. Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition First 10/10 of the thread :) Absolutely wonderful game. An explorable but not overwhelmingly large world, stellar art design, very strong emotional moments carried without words, a new all time favourite of mine. Can't wait to get to the sequel!

56. Doom (1993) I remembered video games exist! This was a great time, enemies kept me on my toes and the areas were fun to explore without getting too annoying to navigate all that often. Can't wait to replay it on a Samsung Smart Fridge. 8/10

55. Mortal Kombat II Congratulations to Mario Galaxy for no longer being the worst video game movie in this thread. I wish this was 2 hours of Uncaged Fury instead, that scene was fun. 3/10

If I have the time for it at the start of 2027, I might do an unscripted video covering every film I see in cinemas this year. I feel like the time has already passed for me to be able to do that for last year’s lineup. Here they all are in a chronological list instead. Not ranked.
