The Fisher River, the biggest trouble spot in the province, is rising quickly. Its flow has increased by a factor of seven in two days. It’s now flowing at close 700 cubic feet per second at Hodgson, south of Peguis. The blue line shows how quickly it’s rising.

I have a tremendous amount of purslane growing on my stone patio. Please take some. The small leaves are great raw in salads; the larger ones are fantastic sautéed with garlic. It’s lemony, but not as acidic as rhubarb. The leaves are succulent and can thicken soups. DM if you’d like some.
