The fic about James Sunderland being a fuck-up apparently needed him being molested by his father’s friend in high school and that messing him sexually… on top of everything else. I love to bully him.

When Harold took a detour down an abandoned alley after a month of this, James felt not fear but rather acceptance. After years of being unable to quite parse what his father's friend wanted, clarity granted something akin to relief, albeit with a sour aftertaste. He felt dread as he grappled with the idea of losing his virginity to this repulsive man, and icy resentment that he'd been right to avoid him.

But there was also that familiar, morbid curiosity that simmered beneath his skin. He could only imagine the flavors of pain he might savor from sex. The giddiness to dabble in it almost was enough to override the terror of doing the act in the first place.

"It's just a quick screw, kiddo. It's not like I'm askin' for money," Harold sighed, a burst of stale coffee breath blowing James's bangs from his face. He gestured for James to climb into the back of the car; not knowing what else he could do, the teen obeyed wordlessly.

What choice did he have?

He'd heard that sex was the awkward fumbling of teenagers, hushed voices and raging hormones making lovesick fools of them both. In his fantasies, he'd imagined himself in the bedroom of a sweet brunette with band posters and a floral bedspread, flushing as he removed her clothing piece by agonizing piece. If he were bold, he considered the locker room showers after hours with the captain of the football team - a walking Adonis that would never have given a meek track nerd the time of day.

James convinced himself it was just a nightmare - the pitch-black darkness as James pressed his forearm to his eyes, the pain like bone-deep tearing as Harold shoved his cock in with a sickening grun…
