The End of Oak Street was a perfect summer movie. Amblin-esque but with legit scares and horror like the 80s films that forced them to create the PG-13 rating. It’s basically an adaptation of the Dinosaurs Attack cards.
X-fans love to complain about their favorite character not being used enough, but when that character is featured in an interesting story that shows growth those same fans complain that the character has been ruined. They are basically adult toy collectors who prefer their favs remain boxed.
If you don’t have a comic store near you I highly suggest checking out @sweetshop.app for all your Minor Threats needs!

SDCC is almost here. Got plenty of panels and signings for Minor Threats and The Big Shakedown plus I’m moderating one with a bunch of pals!
That’s a joke but if I’m being honest this series. It felt like the end of a character arc from rebellious, uncontrollable rage monster to headmaster. All while Cyclops becomes the dangerous, unpredictable revolutionary. It’s like they switched roles after Schism. The whole era is really underrated.
The Big Shakedown doesn't come out until 9/16 (available to order now) but myself and the rest of the team will be in SDCC with some cool give aways and signings at the @darkhorse.com booth, so stay tuned for the details!
So excited to be spending my birthday with one of my favorite stores @capecowlcomics.bsky.social at their one day con with some insane creators and pals! Seeya Aug. 30th!
I will engage with comic book movie discourse but only about this image.
Finally rectifying a major wrong in my life and watching the other big DC comics movie of 1989 for the first time.
The first issue has two gorgeous covers by Scott Hepburn and @joequinones.bsky.social who are no strangers to the Minor Threats universe.
The entire series of Welcome To Twilight: Villains and Vignettes is jam packed with absolute legends and rising rockstars like @hannahrosemay.bsky.social @justinmasonart.bsky.social @jmdematteis.bsky.social @kevinmaguire.bsky.social @cubanmissiledh.bsky.social & @darickr.bsky.social!!!!
Loving Spider-Noir but it’s wild to me that The Enforcers are nowhere to be seen.
Hudson’s first time screeningThe Rocketeer. Not every night a kid gets to see Leonard Maltin live! The little guy loved it and cheered every time the Rocketeer took to the skies and a Nazi ate it.
Scott's full cover for THE BIG SHAKEDOWN from @darkhorse.com out in September!
