Consultants in England voted in favour of industrial action on the 4th July. We are now on to a new health secretary, but still no meeting in with BMA reps. Yvette, it's time to get round the table.
This week, Parliament approved plans to allow electronic balloting for future industrial action. This will help make it easier for doctors to vote, and so reach the required threshold for action.

The Government has had to change its approach after a legal challenge highlighted the misleading way it described a recommendation by Lord Mann regarding the GMC’s right of appeal. We now need to see meaningful reform of the GMC that will both support doctors and protect patients.
