Extremely awkward bloke with very few redeeming qualities. Bit of a cosmic horror. Lover of sarcasm and cask ale. PhD in History. 📚 Author: 📍Plymouth, UK
My 2002 England 'authentic product' shirt is still looking good, 4 countries and 2 continents later (unlike the chap wearing it).
Not too bad for 10 years of living Stateside as a poor undergrad & PhD student. I lived in DC for almost 6 years, but yet again it gets discriminated against for not being a state 🤷♂️
And now, a pint (or two) of Maibock before I have to make my way to the airport.
Apropos of nothing, here's the famous bust of Nefertiti in the Neues Museum in Berlin. They don't let you take photos inside the room 'out of respect for the queen'. They do let you take photos from the next room. Very German. Go figure
Can't really beat a pint of Bass if it's well kept. Bass now, Wagner later.
Also, if you're ever in Falmouth and enjoy a pint (other beverages are available, but as dar as I know only the Old Ale House in Truro boasts such a fine selection of cask & keg ales & draught Central European lagers this side of the Tamar) & books in a brilliant ambience, Beerwolf Books is for you
As promised, here's a half-decent photo of me appreciating one of my birthday presents (it's boiling in there, hence the ruddy face)
Swedish wooden horses charging a porcelain Misha, the official mascot of the 1980 Summer Olympics 🐎🐎🐎🐻
Pass it along; let's see your pfp in its full-sized glory (A couple of co-workers at my then job made one of these for everyone in the office in the summer of 2020. I added the Ukrainian flag after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but everything else is as Teddy and Mihaela originally designed it)
