A light breakfast: Smashed Avocado (Avocado, fried garlic, fried chillis, olive oil, lime juice, salt, pepper) on buttered, lightly-toasted Pain de Campagne with a poached egg
Sitting outside The Bookseller's Arms (formerly Bridge End Social), Leeds, enjoying the coolth while we've still got some. Another hot week next week 🥵
My simple home-cooked breakfast: Scrambled eggs (eggs, butter, cream, dried oregano, salt, pepper) on toast with grilled tomatoes (tomatoes, garlic salt). Decorated with flat leaf parsley and washed-down with a mug of Yorkshire tea.
Today’s lunch: a home-made burger with a recipe from the Bob’s Burgers Burger Book (modified). A beef burger topped with caramelised onions, Manchego cheese, and a generous helping of Tomato & Chilli Chutney. Served with fries and a glass of Old Speckled Hen pale ale.
Had a quick peek in Bridge End Social to admire the decor for #LeedsPride #Leeds
I wasn't going to bother photographing my retro 1970s-style Prawn Cocktail, but it looked so nice I went and grabbed a camera.

Nachos and beer in Brewery Wharf Tavern, Leeds, UK. It's what Tuesday lunchtimes we're made for!
A summery breakfast: Smashed avocado (avocado, fried chillis, fried garlic, salt, pepper) and poached eggs, on lightly toasted San Francisco-style sourdough bread.
I was recently asked "what are your best feelings?" Well, the arrival of a parcel containing new Calvins is definitely on the list.
A great night out last night, but I'm definitely in need of my bacon & egg butty now!
Coffee in the summery sunshine outside 212 bar, Leeds. Happy weekend everybody!
Throwback Thursday #TBT. His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Leeds in June 2012. I had to stand in the rain for 2 hours to get this shot - well worth it in the end ☺️
An advantage of being uninterested in the footy is that I can take photos of folks who are interested in it.
In Brewery Wharf Tavern #Leeds enjoying an evening Staropramen by the river
This afternoon's batch of home-made Pilau Rice (or "Plausible Rice", according to my spell-checker)
Messing-around with rim lighting this afternoon. A lot harder than I thought it would be!
Far too wet for my daily 10.5km walk, so having a coffee & donut morning at home instead.
Tucking into a superb lunchtime pizza at Brewery Wharf Tavern, #Leeds. Tasty! 😋
When an informal technical test shot turns out to be a much better photo than I was expecting.
A leisurely coffee at 212 bar, Brewery Place, Leeds. Pleasantly warm today.
Warm, dry and sunny here in #Leeds, so having a salad for tea out on the balcony.
A Boeing 737 Max 8-200 out of Leeds Bradford Airport, passing above my Brewery Wharf flat a few minutes ago on its way to Poznan.
