Beautiful flag-raising ceremony today in Niagara Square to kick off Juneteenth celebrations (50th anniversary locally!). As Council Member Halton-Pope said so powerfully: this is a call to action, because the work is far from done. None of us is free until we are ALL free.

Every time I talk to a Common Councilmember, they lie and say "that's a state thing." It's optional! The City can opt out at anytime! Either they don't know the law (disturbing), or they don't care that rich people are allowed to dodge their fair share taxes (also disturbing).
