I would ignore the Consumer Reports results over lead as needlessly alarmistic, their limit is over ten times lower than that of the FDA's for adults which already includes a factor of 10 as a safety margin. The standard set by California Prop 65 is almond mom/granola fash populism, best ignored.

Interim Reference Level
An interim reference level (IRL) is a benchmark the FDA may use to determine if the amount of exposure to the contaminant in food is a potential health concern. IRLs also may be used to inform action levels, which are the level of contaminant in a food above which the FDA may consider a food harmful to health and in violation of the FDA’s safety laws.

Although no safe level for lead exposure has been identified, the FDA has calculated an IRL for lead based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) blood reference level of 3.5 micrograms of lead per deciliter of whole blood (µg /dL). The blood reference level is the level at which the CDC recommends clinical monitoring of lead exposure in children.

The IRL for lead includes a 10x safety factor. This means that it is nearly ten times lower than the amount of lead intake from food that would be required to reach the CDC’s blood reference level. The calculated IRLs are 2.2 micrograms (µg) per day for children and 8.8 µg per day for females of childbearing age. The IRL for females of childbearing age is to protect against possible fetal exposure in women who are unaware that they are pregnant and to protect against infant exposure during nursing.

Capitalism would like its factories to be staffed by meek automatons instead of living people. And so, to satisfy these aspirations, American science fiction writers are bringing to the stage armies of robots that are more advanced than humans, and therefore displacing them. This is reflected in Del Rey's "The Dream Endures," E. Binder's "Adam Link Saves the World," and others. But capitalism is also at odds with the machine. It cannot ensure genuine technological progress. It fears its development, fears machines.

And this is reflected in science fiction. In Geyer's story "The Clockwork Mice," machines turn on their creator.

Some authors try to depict the future. But capitalism has none. And the reader is presented with images of the degeneration of the world, the destruction of civilization and humanity, and an escape to other planets from an Earth shaken by revolution.

This is what awaits New York, according to writer Bond ("City of Wonders"). People, reduced to savages, worship the Statue of Liberty as an idol. The city is dead.

The authors try to pass off the doom of capitalism as the doom of the world.

But no matter how sophisticated the purveyors of delusional science fiction may be, the peoples of the world believe in progress and a bright future, turning their gaze to the land of happiness and freedom – the Soviet Union.

Additionally, American ‘Communists’ are now fully aligned with imperialism. They claim Russia is a ‘fascist’ state, and are implicitly allied with the Azovites and Ukrainian Neo-Nazis, as a form of international class solidarity between anti-social, degenerate social scum. They are wholly loyal to the American deep state, and believe alignment with the Democrats - who fund Ukrainian Nazis - is necessary to stave off the threat of ‘fascism’ coming from Trump.

Trump, it should be remembered for all his faults - who led a deeply working class movement and is relatively less interventionist than other politicians - is the ultimate figure of ‘fascism’ to these ‘communists.’

This is the sad, sorry picture of American ‘communism.’ I have popularized the MAGA Communism slogan solely in order to bring dignity and honor back to the name of Communism in this country.

My "favorite" example of this is the dictator of Haiti, François Duvalier, putting his anthropological studies into use for consolidating his power.

Lucky enough to be schooled and literate in a country where all but a tiny handful were illiterate, François attended medical school and participated in a US funded public health campaign to eliminate yaws (a common bacterial disease that had crippled thousands). Parlaying his modest involvement into tales of his single handed eradication of the disease, Doctor Duvalier became more and more involved in the negritude (black pride) movement of Haitian author Dr. Jean Price Mars, and began an ethnological study of voudou, Haiti's native religion, that would later pay enormous political dividends.
