With news of @boardsofcanada.bsky.social making a triumphant return, I am reminded of something I made on a whim in art college during Christmas 2012: artwork for an imaginary fourth album (and this was before Tomorrow's Harvest was released) with a title and tracklist. I still have it on my shelf!

Spoilers for #TADCEpisode8 in case folks somehow haven't seen it, but I wanna gush about the epic crash-out of who I shall affectionately dub "Spider-Caine": I LOVE his terrifyingly awesome design. The creative team has outdone themselves; it's final boss fight material. (Image includes alt-text)

Between the brim of a red and blue striped jester's hat (Pomni) can be seen a large monstrous figure (Caine) within the interior of a large red and yellow circus-tent-looking structure filled with green cubes and purple bubbles. Pomni is being pinned to a wall by one of Caine's many gloved hands, while Caine himself, wearing a bright red ringmaster suit, towers over Pomni, his many gangly long-sleeved arms appearing like spider's legs from Pomni's perspective, Caine's black top hat with red brim floating far above his head which itself consists only of the separated upper and lower jaws of a wind-up set of chattering teeth with a pair of large round eyes between them, their tiny black pupils both directly staring Pomni down with intense ferocity. A vignette of chromatic aberration surrounds the edges of the frame, implying that Caine's terrifying anger is having a destructive effect on the very world itself.
