Throughout marches, we led chants centering liberation and justice, shared No Pride in Genocide palm cards, and gathered signatures for rent control.
With hundreds of thousands of attendees and over 12k marchers, there was no better opportunity to fulfill this years theme of “Pride as a Protest.”

Today we are remembering the life of activist and author Lou Sullivan. Lou began journaling as a child and wrote extensively about his experience and identity as a gay, trans man. As an adult, Lou advocated for himself and other trans men.

He stood with Cuba and against apartheid South Africa. And he did it all in the shadow of having seen his friend and mentor murdered in front of him. His loss will be deeply felt. We must recommit ourselves to carrying on his legacy and, in his words, keeping hope alive.
Jackson's Presidential campaigns fired back, laying out a vision of a multiracial America that inspired both his adherent Bernie Sanders and the entire democratic socialist movement. Jackson held the line on Palestine, on gay rights, on racial justice, and on economic justice.
Boston DSA joins the rest of the country in mourning the passing of Reverend Jesse Jackson. Jackson began his career fighting for economic liberation in the Civil Rights Movement. Unlike many leaders from that era, he remained influential despite a brutal right wing backlash.
Boston DSA hit 2,500 members on the same day National DSA hit 100,000! Being 2.5% of the largest socialist organization in American history is a unique honor and we can not wait to keep fighting for a better world with all of you (and hopefully thousands more).
As ICE escalates its violence, unions in Minnesota have called for a general strike in MN tomorrow. In Boston, organized labor and community groups are holding a mass rally in solidarity with Minnesota. Arrive early and get Boston DSA signs and merch!

We will be out in the streets again January 20th to mark one year of Trump's second term. We hope to see you all there and we hope to see you all on the days in between protests, doing the hard and messy and boring work of fighting for a better world.
There is no solution that will not be achieved without organization. These protests are a reminder that we are stronger together and we will unite to create a better world, one free from ICE terror, because of the duty we owe to each other.

Thousands of people attended a rally organized by Boston DSA and our coalition partners last Saturday. We heard from union leaders, local organizers, both of our elected Boston DSA co-chairs, and our newly endorsed candidate in Cambridge Evan MacKay.
