Photos from the Belfast Féile reflecting 30 years since the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Significant strides were made in truth recovery but impact undermined by a lack of prosecutions, inadequate reparations, and the ongoing challenge of addressing inequality

Fantastic to deliver the keynote address on "Young People and Peacebuilding" at the INSPIRE NOW! 2.0 Conference yesterday. Truly inspirational youth-led event, see DiverseYouthNI's profile on Instagram for highlights: www.instagram.com/diverseyouth...
Great to hear Irish President, Catherine Connolly, speak today at Ulster University. A takeaway: "in a world unfortunately that is ever-more consumed with war and militarism...a lesson that we should all tell the world: that peace is normal and that war is not normal and that peace is possible"
To mark this festive season here is a photo my freshly dug homegrown potatoes!🎄Hope you all had a wonderful day.
I recently posted about the Belfast Palestinian march. On Threads, I received 1,300 likes, 157 reposts, and 90 comments. Half were supportive, while the rest called me a terrorist, vermin, or brainwashed. A few even suggested bodily harm. But the haters only made up 2.5%. Don't be distracted.
A powerful lecture by Caoilfionn Gallagher KC, highlighting the rising transnational repression of lawyers defending human rights cases. It’s crucial to support and speak out against the increasing demonisation and violence directed at legal professionals #HumanRights @ulsteruniincore.bsky.social
Can someone explain how my Airpod that has been missing for 2 years just turned up in the Christmas 🎄 baubel box!
Amazing turnout for the Palestinian 🇵🇸 Solidarty march today in Belfast
A few pictures from #Kenya, showcasing the lovely nature: a forest, a quaint waterfall, a picturesque tea plantation, and a coffee bean.
Weekend work, my chillies now suitably pickled for the coming winter.
The UK in numbers this weekend: 425 arrests made for peacefully protesting against genocide. 0 arrests of those who support, fund, or commit genocide

It’s finally here! 🎉 Guy Brett’s 1986 book explores how ordinary people use art to resist oppression and advocate for social change. Features an insightful chapter on Chilean arpilleras, which are central to Conflict Textiles, where I’m proud to serve as a Trustee @conflicttextiles.bsky.social
Just getting to this now but here are some photos from our lovely holiday on the Costa Brava. We are lucky people.
Brilliant day out at The Open at Royal Portrush. Amazingly well organised, great crowd and stunning scenery…oh yeah, and some golf ⛳️
If subsistence farming means surviving only on tomatoes, chillies, lettuce, and basil, then I’m officially living off the land!
