I grew up on transit, bike, & work w/ ADAS transport. Everyone deserves good mobility options! Posts are my own & don't speak for my employer. DC/PHL, now in PGH 🏳️🌈 all year long
Living the Dutch Dream in #Pittsburgh. #NetherlandsWho? #OpenStreetsPGH
Nearly got myself killed seconds before this but it was so nice seeing this freight train running long hood forward! 🤩🤩 Also I hate Federal Street Parking, and folks who can't Park trying to park there, this fouling up the bike lane!
Oh! People actually bike in the city of #Pittsburgh? I thought it was too hilly/cold/hot/humid etc to do that!
Looking at the #BigBoy Tracker and the path it took to travel, I think the planned @amtrak.com service to Reading should absolutely, without a doubt, continue to Harrisburg with stops in Lebanon and maybe Hershey. Also, add a Norristown-Bridgeport Stop, please and thank you!
Oh...somehow it's incredibly foggy in this city of Pittsburgh 😬
The attached is a screenshot of an alert for the 54, where all buses in Oakland face a 45 min delay. Forty-five minutes is ludicrous!
I like this #Amtran On Board feature. It's just a small thing to make riding transit little more fun, with an easy way to access customer service and get important transit info.
Johnstown Incline...finally testing. I hope to ride this someday! I didn't expect for it to have been closed the entire time I've been a Western PA resident!
Found at a rest stop in Ohio! #ClevelandTrip #America250 #BrandTran40
My phone was too slow to grab a photo as my bus passed under the train 😭
I just photographed the @amtrak.com Floridian trains in both directions in #Pittsburgh! 😁 Great for my camera, terrible for all the riders 😬 #MadLate
Gridlock... Do you know how many people were on this street? Way more than the amount of cars, and yet we were able to move freely.
Goodness the cars were chomping at the bit to drive down the formerly open streets! 😬😒 A quick view right before reopening. What a lovely event! I'm glad the rain stayed away!
RTA in Cleveland has all the route info, including highlighting routes that are 24/7, but alas no QR codes
First ride on a Greyhound Bus in years, and my first ride since Greyhound was enabled by Flixbus. The service between Cleveland and Pittsburgh is way too minimal, especially if one wants to make a daytrip. Off to a on-time start, & now I know I can take 1 bus to Detroit from PGH!
I love the fact that each of the new PRT stops has a QR code that can be scanned for two time information for all the buses that stop here. I don't like that these newer new signs are so small, and don't have route info on the physical sign so you can see at a glance all the routes stopping there.
And that's definitely the Ride On interior of that era. Sigh I miss these buses.
OMG 💙🩶 I wasn't expecting one of Ride-On's 1999 Orion Vs to appear on #Pose. I miss this era of Ride On. Of course this show is supposed to take place in 1987, long before this bus was even built! #nostalgia #Moco #RideOnInAllentown
I'm thrilled to see one of these Coaster buses being used by Millie's! #Pittsburgh #Northside
I found a Complete Street in Brighton Heights in #Pittsburgh! Sadly it didn't meet expectations as there weren't any bike lanes here, though I suppose the dramatic drop in elevation and cobblestones may slow traffic down.
So many are talking about the walking distance, but the whole development is completely isolated, requiring a major detour from the main road just to serve it with a bus. Thank goodness this even has any public transit at all - similar developments elsewhere are completely free of public transit.
As I pored over so many of PGHtransit's Bus Line Refresh proposals, I really can't help but wonder: what could this system look like if we still had the service hours from back in the early 2000s? What would an extra $70 million in funds bring to us in Allegheny County? #Pittsburgh #Dreams
I wonder what this house's story is. It's been abandoned for as long as I've known it. Maybe it's a failed flip? #MexicanWarStreets
I wonder what's going into that now grey building at 24th and Penn. #StripDistrict
