If I had tenure, the emails I write would be much, much shorter. This is just a PORTION of the fucking email I had to write. (you guys, I swear to fucking God - this is a $20 book. It's BEST AMERICAN SHORT STORIES 2024. this is not a hard book to get hands on, so long as you MAKE A SLIGHT EFFORT)

No, there is no way for you to complete the homework assignments or the first essay without owning the book.

While I realize that you had initial difficulty with getting the book, I am still extremely puzzled why you did not follow up on this in any meaningful way. Have you ever attempted to call or visit the bookstore? They would've been able to order a copy of the book for you. This book is also available from any online bookseller, or any Barnes & Noble would've been able to order a copy if they didn't have one in stock. Even your local library would've been able to get a copy for you through interlibrary loan.

At this point in the class, it is looking extremely likely that you will fail, and I would advise that you withdraw from the course. I also strongly suggest that you do not attempt to take this class online again — your best option would be to take an in-person lecture class.

The fucking emails I receive, I swear to god. Week 12 of the semester, many MANY poor AI attempts later, and the student admits that they never bought the book. This is, obviously, not their fault. Buying books is hard. I am now getting emails asking how they can pass the class without the book.

I'm struggling a lot in your course, I do not do well with English, this is my second time taking it as I failed the first time. I also struggle with distant learning. I have been trying to keep up but it is also difficult since I was unable to get the book, as I said in the first email I order it and it never showed up and got refunded and now it is to late to get it as when I click the link it say "unable to find the requested term". I have been trying to google the readings to complete the assignments. I'm reaching out to discuss my grade and or options as of now. I'm struggling to complete the essay and the homework #3 without the book and am not sure if I will be able to up my grade before the end of the semester.

Okay, I know someone took this photo in order to sell a dress, but I argue that they almost might've been trying to create a cover for a gothic horror fantasy while they were at it. Possibly one written by @cheriepriest.com or @silviamg.bsky.social. IIt's giving "magic fungus powers, no eyes" vibes.

Okay, so first this chick has the whitest white blonde hair you can imagine, along with having skin tone best achieved by living in an underground bunker. Her eyes are closed, which given her eyelash color (v. pale. so pale, it appears that there ARE NO EYELASHES) and the general skin tone (again, we're somewhere on that line between "pure alabaster" and "corpse bride"), is starting to look a little distressing. Like, at first glance it is possible she has no eyes, just skin? The dress is old fashioned and cute, but the color is kind of "bruised purple" which... is not helping this overall look. Behind her is what I THINK might be pale purple florals, but honestly they kind of are looking more in the line of the fungi family? It's a look, is what I'm saying. A very complete look.

A month after his emergency surgery due to the Cashew Of Death, Peary's belly fur is starting to grow back! Hilariously, if you look closely, you can see the little black ticking is starting to show! All of his fur is red, black, then red again, all at the same spots on each hair. Pretty neat.

I needed work clothing this year, and found kind of absolute fucking shit in the stores. This ended up with me reading a bunch of books, watching so many (very helpful!) YouTube videos, and spending a whole lot of money on fabric. The result -- I sewed one dress and one skirt.

Big thanks to everyone who sent good thoughts and kind comments while Amundsen is missing. He had his vet checkup yesterday, got a good dose of antiparasite meds, and he has been released from his quarantine lockup. He got a very thorough licking from Peary, a lot of cuddles, and is back to normal!

My in-laws are visiting, and are not careful about closing doors. Amundsen slipped out at some point yesterday afternoon. We checked our camera footage and he was on the front porch around 10pm last night -- we have been looking for him all morning, but nothing. Really hoping we'll find him.
