Tonight’s harvest: Baby Bibb, Gem, Oakleaf lettuces with Swiss Chard & Curly Kale. Took waaay longer to clean than pick😂🥬
I was in Lancaster just the other day, visiting the longest running, oldest continuous farmer’s market in the country & there wasn’t a single person or vendor I had a convo at length with that wouldn’t disagree with that bumper sticker. Saw this billboard in Bedford, PA just last evening.

Just took some crow compost (old leftovers that CAN’T be properly composted) to the bottom of the yard & flung it into the woods. Turned around & snapped this capture of the property from the bottom of the yard.

Here’s the salad: Organic Spring Mix & Baby Spinach, Wild Wonders Cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, marinated artichoke hearts, red grapes, crumbled croutons, sweet onion. I’ll make my homemade vinaigrette.

One of the traditions I’ve carried on since my grandfather passed away 20 years ago (& then a few years later my grandmother) is making everyone homemade horseradish for Easter. The recipe is over 150 years old.
Lactose intolerant so this is how I indulge. If you see the “Sundae Shop” Mango Sorbet at Aldi? Buy. That. Shit! You won’t be disappointed!
