Thrilled to have caught even one session of @realgdt.bsky.social’s Hitchcock masterclass at the Academy Museum. The fact that it was NORTH BY NORTHWEST made it extra special. I can’t pick a favorite from the Master of Suspense, but it’s up there!
Caught the final performance of @jakefromcomics.bsky.social’s WAITING FOR (GAL) GADOT at the LA Fringe. It was delightful when my wife and I saw it last year, but this time the cast was ON FIRE! And the audience ate it up. One guy after said it was “the best show of the Fringe”. Feast on that, Jake!
Arguably my favorite head canon: BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA and THE ADVENTURES OF BUCKAROO BANZAI are the same universe. WD Richter co-wrote the former & directed the latter, and tonally their general madness fits.

I LOVE BOOSTERS is @bootsriley.bsky.social at his most satirical, surreal, and magical real. Genuinely thrilling to see a film that gives away so little in its trailer. I’m serious. This movie goes some UNEXPECTED PLACES! It’s funny & freaky, and it brings a message we need to hear Right Now.
Genuinely pleasing to see that the Rohirrim still have at least a storefront all these eons later.
A delightful couple weeks in England. Heading home tomorrow. Naturally thinking of all the things we didn’t have time for in this visit, but cognizant of more opportunities in the near future. In all, a lovely adventure.
Absolutely LOVED The Sheep Detectives. Babe meets Knives Out. And a lot more. A solid murder mystery. A testament on reckoning with mortality. A rollicking good time.
