What keeps me going through all this bs in our country and world right now? The love of friends, that of my husband, the beauty of the natural world, smiles on children's faces, warm summer evenings and rainy winter nights, and the knowledge that this too shall pass. These things give me hope.

Did my patriotic duty today--went down to the busy intersection in our little mountain town for an hour and held a sign for folks that read: "We NEED Healthcare, NOT Greenland." That one is hard to argue with and I got a LOT of thumbs up and honks. Four other folks were out there with me.
