People have come to associate the emdash (—) with AI-based writing. But I’ve aggressively used the emdash in my public writings since long before ChatGPT or Claude. Here’s me in 2011 using the emdash!

One wonders when people of conscience, with the power to do so, will put a stop to this. Because I think the window of history's forgiveness is rapidly closing.

I was invited to attend Garry Kasparov's Daniel Pearl Memorial Lecture at UCLA a few years ago. It was an honor to see my friend Garry speak in that place, for the stated virtues. I will not be receiving an invite to this one. And if I did, I would refuse it.
